Prince Egwue is a professional soccer player from Nigeria whose passion for soccer began when he was five years old and continues to burn to this day. Prince began his career as a professional athlete at the age of nineteen when he was recruited to play for a team in the Netherlands, "Go Ahead Eagles". Prince earned a reputation in the soccer world for excelling as a reliable team player. During his fifteen-year career he played in both European and African Soccer leagues. He has played for professional teams in the Netherlands, Germany, Nigeria, Belgium, and the Ivory Coast. His experience training under the coaches of all these different teams gives him a unique coaching style and a wealth of technical knowledge and training practices. During his soccer career he also obtained a degree in Physical Education with a major in Exercise Psychology from University of Lagos, in Nigeria. Prince is a certified fitness trainer, sports psychologist, and kinesiologist. At the conclusion of his fifteen-year career he also earned a coaching certificate from K.N.V.B., the organization responsible for soccer coaching certification in the Netherlands. Career Highlights: Following his European and African soccer career, Prince realized that the majority of Americans do not view soccer as an "All American Sport", like Football, Baseball, and Basketball. Prince understands the need for this sport to rise to the level of other American Sports. He feels the need to share the excitement, athleticism, and involvement of this exhilarating sport with Americans. Primarily Prince wants to share his passion with the American youth, what makes him successful athlete and why we the Nigerian Youth Team were champions in the FIFA World Youth Championship held in China in 1985. Dedication, commitment, sincerity, and hard work, these four words define an athlete. His major goals are to help fight the national obesity epidemic and to make youths more involved in sports. Prince grew up knowing that nobody owes him; He owes himself hard work, dedication, and respect. Come and share with Prince his experience and passion for soccer and join him in his quest to share the soccer experience with the future of America. Prince is working on his soccer DVD titled Total Soccer, which will be available very soon. At the age of 34, Prince believes that he has some soccer left in him and will be trying out for the LA Galaxy team. |
